Technical
Systems Outsourcing
Outsourcing of the EDAMS Asset management and Infrastructure Planning systems commences on completion of their implementation and is carried out by dedicated Hydro-Comp personnel. In the case of smaller organisations Hosting/ Cloud computing is used with personnel situated at Hydro-Comp’s main area offices. In the case of larger organisations such personnel are resident at Client’s premises assigned to a newly formed “MIS” unit. They are assisted by back-office Hydro-Comp personnel as well as visiting Hydro-Comp personnel.
Apart from supporting Client users in their daily tasks the Outsourcing project has the following additional objectives:
- To ensure the sustainability of a reliable network asset register.
- The provision of both Operational and Management reports
- The support of a commercial rehabilitation program.
- The support of a network/ asset rehabilitation program (backlog).
- The support of a network leakage detection program.
- The support of a Water Quality Monitoring program.
- The support of a Network Optimisation study for Water supply and Sewer disposal,
maximising use of existing assets and minimising future capital costs. - The support of a CALL Centre ensuring better service delivery and better customer service.
Commercial
Systems Outsourcing
Outsourcing of the EDAMS Billing and CRM system commences on completion of their implementation and is carried out by dedicated Hydro-Comp personnel. In the case of smaller organisations Hosting/ Cloud computing is used with personnel situated at Hydro-Comp’s main area offices. In the case of larger organisations such personnel are resident at Client’s premises assigned to the Client’s Commercial department. They are assisted by back-office Hydro-Comp personnel as well as visiting Hydro-Comp personnel.
Apart from supporting Client users in their daily tasks the Outsourcing project has the following objectives that will lead to customer satisfaction and increased revenues:
- To ensure accurate statements
- To improve customer services and satisfaction levels
- To improve meter reading and meter maintenance
- To carry out effective debt management
- To facilitate accurate reporting that will enhance management control and overall productivity
- To ensure an accurate commercial database through proper meter management programs and data validation activities
- contributing towards the reduction and control of non-revenue water.
- To institute on a continuous basis meter evaluation and a meter replacement program.
